NVS-2 is a dry-running carbon floating ring seal, mainly consisting of an integral end cover, a shaft sleeve, and seal rings. The seal rings feature a multiple spring design on the sealing faces, using both process pressure and spring force to achieve face contact and reduce leakage. The NVS-2 have self-adjusting carbon rings ensure stable sealing performance during operation.
Features
- Integral housing structure
- Carbon rings with multiple spring
- Extremely small operating clearance for minimized leakage
- Non-contact, dry-running operation
- Seal rings automatically adapt to operating conditions
Configuration Selection
- Select the number of sealing rings according to the application conditions:
- NVS-2-II: Two sets of floating rings, suitable for air or gases where leakage requirements are not stringent.
- NVS-2-III: Three sets of floating rings, suitable for general non-hazardous process gases.
- NVS-2-IV: Four sets of floating rings, suitable for low-pressure, low-hazard process gases.
- NVS-2-V: Five sets of floating rings, suitable for low-pressure steam and hazardous process gases.
- NVS-2-VI: Six sets of floating rings, suitable for low-pressure steam and medium- to low-pressure hazardous process gases.
- NVS-2-VII: Seven sets of floating rings, suitable for medium- to low-pressure steam and hazardous process gases.
- The NVS-2 can be used in combination with an API Plan 74 system designed and manufactured by Novseal.
