NVS-1 is a segmented carbon floating ring seal designed to replace labyrinth seals and packing seals. It provides reliable sealing for low-pressure gas conveying equipment.
The seal ring uses a segmented design for easy installation and replacement. Radial carbon rings maintain effective contact between the cut faces. This structure helps improve sealing performance and reduce gas leakage.
NVS-1 features a split seal gland design. Installation and replacement do not require bearing housing removal. The sealing faces use process pressure to maintain effective contact during operation. The seal gland can also use a non-spigot design.
NVS-1 is suitable for centrifugal fans, Roots blowers, low-pressure steam fans, and centrifugal compressors. It is designed for equipment handling low-pressure gases. NVS-1 can also serve as a replacement for EagleBurgmann WD200.
Selection Guide
1. Different combinations of seal rings can be selected according to the operating conditions:
- NVS-1-II: Two floating seal rings, suitable for process gases where leakage requirements are not strict.
- NVS-1-III: Three floating seal rings, suitable for general non-hazardous process gases.
- NVS-1-IV: Four floating seal rings, suitable for low-pressure, low-hazard process gases.
- NVS-1-V: Five floating seal rings, suitable for low-pressure steam and low-pressure hazardous gases.
- NVS-1-VI: Six floating seal rings, suitable for low-pressure steam and low-pressure hazardous gases.
- NVS-1-VII: Seven floating seal rings, suitable for steam and hazardous gases.
2. NVS-1 can be used together with the API Plan 74 system designed and manufactured by Novseal Technology.
