DGS-CS | Single-End API 692 Dry Gas Seal for Compressors

DGS-CS suitable for high-pressure applications, large shaft diameters, and demanding operating conditions. The seal faces non-contacting running. The seal pair uses a single-stage arrangement with compact axial dimensions.

The surrounding seat design effectively reduces equipment damage caused by a broken seat. The auxiliary seal uses a high-performance polymer seal with good temperature, pressure, and corrosion resistance. Both unidirectional and bidirectional grooves are available.

The cartridge design makes installation and dismantling easy. The seal is suitable for applications where the process medium is allowed to leak into the atmosphere.

Operating Parameters:

Pressure: 0~15MPA

Temperature: -40~200℃

Linear Velocity: ≤160m/s

Shaft size : 45~250mm

The above limit application parameters are not met simultaneously, customized design for particular applications.

Material:

Metal parts: 410,304,316L,2507

Seal ring: SSiC-Carbon graphite,WC- Carbon graphite

Elastomer ring: FKM,EPDM,PTFE,FFKM

Spring: 316L,Hastelloy C

DGS-CS is a dry-running gas seal for centrigugal compressors. It features a single-end gas seal and a cartridge design. It supports both unidirectional and bidirectional operation.

It suits applications where the sealed gas is non-flammable and non-hazardous. Atmospheric leakage is also permitted in these applications.

The complete seal assembly consists of a front labyrinth seal, a single-end primary seal, and a separation seal. Seal gas enters between the process-side seal and the primary seal faces.

Most of the seal gas flows into the compressor. A small amount flows across the primary seal faces. The seal gas pressure decreases across the seal faces to vent pressure.

The seal leakage typically vents to the atmosphere. Labyrinth and carbon ring separation seals are optionally available.

DGS-CS can replace Burgmann DGS single seal types, John Crane Type 28 series, and Flowserve Gaspac S.
